My granddaughter is now 6 years old and has loved her blankie to pieces, literally. I started this scarf as a replacement blanket at least 10 times and always messed up before I got very far. Now I'm doing the infinity scarf instead. I figure that my granddaughter can wear the scarf and no one will know she still needs her blankie. Anyway, I am wondering about the first time i do the yo of the pattern. I have just finished a purl row. Do I just move the yarn over to knit or do I loop the yo around so I create a stitch there?

Thanks for this amazing pattern. I moved the marker and followed all of your directions. It's got to be me. It's so simply written that it blows my mind I'm having so much trouble with it. I think I'll really have to slow down and be deliberate. Cabling is easy for me since I tend to have tighter tension. Something light and loose may just take me more time to get in the swing of.
