Spinning of Late

Ok....so I have been on a knitting kick which means a hiatus from spinning and weaving.  However, recently I took part in the Weekend of Fiber in Monteagle, TN which was yet again a chance to visit with friends and catch up on a little spinning.

I spun 18 oz of Far Out Farm's lovely Cotswold alpaca blend in blue...fun and lovely.

I also spun a gradient from Daily Fibers that will make it's way into a project soon.  Keep an eye out for another pattern using this lovely yarn.

Animals on the Island

Ok....so animals are everywhere, but sometimes I am surprised by which ones I see where.  The peacocks were beautiful as well as the turkeys...literally hanging out under stop signs in the neighborhood.  That's what happens when you visit an island full of farms.  Of course visiting the alpacas is always a treat and the house down the street had the llamas out on the front lawn.  Just fun to see everywhere.
